**Overview** Came here with a friend for a weekday dinner and had no wait time--seated right away. We decided to try the BBQ Whole Catfish with Vegetables to share, along with sides of rice. **The Experience** The dish came out on a hot pot/plate surrounded by lots of chili, which made for an interesting presentation. The fish itself was pretty good--it was tender and not overcooked. The vegetables that came with it were the highlight, as they were nicely flavored and cooked. The sides of rice were a great addition and helped balance out the richness of the fish. While the fish was cooked well, I found the overall dish lacked a bit of flavor. It had a fair amount of oil but didn't bring enough taste to balance it out. The rice helped, but the dish would have benefited from a bit more seasoning or sauce. Service was fast and efficient. The pricing is reasonable, with the BBQ Whole Catfish dish priced at around $48 for the whole fish. With the rice, it made for a filling meal. While I didn't find the dish to be perfect, I'd like to return and try some of their other offerings in the future.

If you are looking for authentic hunan food, this is the place to go. The name is a bit misleading since it's not just a noodle place. In fact we got no noodles. Genuinely some of the best hunan food in the bay. We got a century egg + roasted chili + eggplant dish(擂辣椒茄子), chicken gizzards + sour bean + chili stir fry, and lamb + chili stir fry. We asked for additional spice and it was great. Super fragrant chilis. Everything tasted amazing. Be sure to get a bowl of rice for each person. There were plenty of leftovers- generous portions for the price and area. Would definitely return!

I would rate 3.5 for interior and furniture is a bit upscale, and food was okay, not that much service. Came for dinner on Tuesday evening was pretty empty to start but filled up by 8pm. Mostly Szechuan cuisine but not sooo spicy. I liked the mapo tofu (doesnt have numbing pepper corn thank god) and the cucumber garlic and vermicelli clay pot. Just a lil salty , my bf liked the braised beef but im not that into it so it was okie. Good with rice for balancing salty. Cucumber cuts thru salty as well. Overall nice ambiance but not my fav food

Spicy delicious Hunan food in a non descript plaza. Inside is quite stylish and modern. Every dish we ordered ran oily. Definitely order a rice to go with the main dishes. Will come back to try the noodles - Spicy beef tendon and tripe: we loved the different textures and generous portion of this dish. The layer of floating oil on top is quite intimidating, 4/5 - Spicy lotus root: this has a KICK! Lotus was crunchy and flavorful. Our favourite dish of the night, 4.5/5 - Scallion pancake: good scallion flavour, nice and crunchy on the outside. I've had flakier scallion pancakes before. 3.5/5
